Knee Pain Relief Tips

Tip 7: Lateral Tibial Glide and Rotation Mobilization

Sit in a chair and cross one ankle over the opposite knee. Grip with one hand just above the knee and one hand just below the knee as shown below. Push the thigh away from you while pulling the shin toward you.  Make gentle oscillations for 1minute.

Knee pain relief tip #1 - Medial tibial glide and rotation

This technique can help with either inner knee pain or outer knee pain.

Tip 8: Lateral Tibial Glide Mobilization

This is just the opposite of the previous tip.  If that one doesn't work, try this one. Sit with knees bent. Gently push your shin outward and thigh inward at the same time to activate hip and knee muscles. This can help with inner knee pain as well.

Tip 9: Towel Knee Gap Mobilization

Place a rolled towel behind your knee crease.  Bend your knee as far as you feel comfortable going.  This gaps the knee joint and helps if you have difficulty bending your knee.
