I've already had physical therapy and it didn't work. How will this be any different?
You'll find that More 4 Life Physical Therapy is very different from what most people picture when they hear "physical therapy". Starting from the first visit, we are very thorough and use advanced clinical reasoning to get to the root cause of your symptoms. All care provided is 1-on-1 for the entire length of your visit. We do not seem multiple patients at one time as this would detract from the quality of care we can provide. Every treatment is well though out and specifically chosen based on your individual needs, goals, and values as a whole person. We don't provide "cook book" treatments based on your diagnosis. Finally, our therapist is a board-certified specialist and a fellowship-trained orthopaedic manual physical therapist, a distinction that less than 1% of physical therapists in the country achieve. This advanced training allows for highly skilled hands on care along with advance clinical reasoning.
What should I expect at my first visit?
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your initial appointment to fill out some paperwork. After doing this, your physical therapist will ask you some questions to get a history of the problem that you are coming in for and then do a thorough clinical examination to get to the root cause of your symptoms. After this, your physical therapist will explain the the findings to you so that you can understand the problem and what you can do to help the problem yourself. In most cases, there will be time for some treatment on the first day. Plan on a total time in the clinic of 1-1.5 hours.
What should I wear?
Please wear loose fitting clothing that will allow access to the area we will be treating. For lower body injuries, shorts are helpful. For back and upper body injuries, a t-shirt, tank top, or sports bra are helpful.
Do accept insurance?
We accept some insurance plans. We do accept Medicare as well as some private insurances
